Mt Compass Venison was established in 2001 by the Phillips family near Mt Compass.

Judith Phillips’ passion about her products is easily shared with others. Fallow venison is considered one of the finest game meats available, and Mt Compass Venison is the only producer of Fallow Venison on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Their venison is farm-raised on the Fleuireu Peninsula and the South East with all processing done on the Peninsula.

By value adding, Mt Compass Venison creates a range of boutique venison products developed through product innovation and from consultation with customers and chefs.

The fresh range product list includes:

• premium quality steak, prime leg steak, diced venison and prime cuts.
• gourmet venison sausages and venison burgers.

The smallgoods product list includes:

• chorizo, pepperoni, mettwurst, the always popular viennas and the most gorgeous pate ever!
• venison pies.

The award-winning and delicious chunky steak venison pie won two silver medals at national pie competitions and comes in single or family size.

Mt Compass Venison can customise products to suit individual needs with specialty cuts, such as 'haunch', much admired by game lovers, and available by order.

The majority of products are gluten-free and low in fat. They are easy-to-cook and a delight to eat. Nutritional information is available upon request, and a venison cookbook is available at the Market, showcasing local chefs using venison in a myriad of ways.
